In keeping with our company wishes and beliefs to bring only the best to our clients. We would like to introduce a new and exciting addition to our range of accessories. Along with our specially selected, high quality artisan high teas we have commissioned an artist and high class potter, to design and create a range of tea cups/beakers of a design and type, that respect the ancient style of the Matcha tea drinking ceremonies of the far east. The tea ceremony is a celebration, a bonding experience of mindfulness, respect and focus on the now, a quiet time of reflection to enjoy the tea.
Each beaker is hand thrown by the renowned potter Rachael Byass who has been been creating and producing bespoke and specialist design items for over thirty years.
Working out of her purpose built studio and using the finest and purest china porcelain clay. Rachael has been able to throw a series of Individually made, unique pieces. Each has been finished and glazed by hand, this means no two beakers will be the same, each will be a unique one of a kind delight, its own inimitable masterpiece.
The porcelain clay is fired several times at an extremely high temperature to ensure a vitreous and glass like finish to the glaze, highly resistant to chipping. Being able to withstand high temperatures and a low porosity ensures stain resistance. There are two designs available in this extremely limited edition, one a clean and simply decorated black on white classic tea cup shaped and a second, glazed with a splash of black on white to further enhance the uniqueness of each piece. These individually produced pieces fulfil our wishes for our customers and are created to enhance the enjoyment of your tea drinking experience.
These cups come without handles and do get warm when being used, care should be taken when brewing in and handling these specialist items. Do not overfill.
